PTE Academic pilot program for Canada student visa under SPP

PTE Academic is accepted for study at a range of institutions in Canada. You can take your test at one of the centre in Canada, or at one of our locations overseas, to send your scores to your chosen institution. PTE Academic typically delivers results in five days, so you don’t need to worry about your English scores.

After much wait ,official announcement has been made by Pearson , PTE Academic has partnered for a Pilot program with seven institutes in Canada under SPP programs for student visa. Please find below guideline for making an application for the SPP programs with a PTE Academic score.

Guidelines to be followed while making the application to IRCC

Apart from meeting all the other SPP program guidelines, applications will conform to the following requirements for IRCC Delhi.

for Indian Nationals only:

–    Only online application will be accepted;

–    Applications must be received by IRCC no later than 09 Dec 2016 for January 2017 intake;-

–   Letter of Admission from participating colleges must clearly state “SPP/PTE” in the header for us to include the applications for this trial and track their progress.

–    Copy of PTE A results, which will be verified online.

–     Online Assignment of PTE Academic scores to IRCC India and associated PTE Registration ID to be mentioned on the application.

–       Minimum acceptable PTE A Scores: Overall Score of Not less than 50 and Not less than 42 in any of the 4 Communicative Skills (Listening;Reading; Speaking & Writing)

    1. You should try Australia or New Zealand.
      English language requirement for post graduation courses in Canada is IELTS 6.5/PTE 65

    1. I will suggest you to file paper application In Embassy.Remember to attach the letter of approval from college.

      1. But some agent said that on PTE base you can not get canada visa it is truth? You seen before approved visa based on pte?

    reading 55, writing 56, listening 51, and speaking 46

    My senior secondry N/M with 58% in 2014, aftr that i have done ITI in electrition

    I have done my mechanical engineering with 75% with seven backlogs in 2016 and +2 with marks of 60% my file got rejected in May intake and my IELTS score was(overall 6 ) lis 7, speeking 6.5 and 5.5 reading and writing respectively after my file got rejected I appeared for PTE and my score is (overall 56 ) no score less than 51 now I am totally confused so is their any chances that I can apply for Canadian visa for September intake with the help of IELTS or PTE?

    1. You need to score above 58 in PTE and 6.5 in IELTS to cover the English language requirement for post graduation courses in Canada.

        if I am able to score 60 in PTE is their any chances that I would able to have admission in post graduation courses in Canada because there are rumors that PTE is in accepted by embassy for visa purposes but only IELTS is easily acceptable ?? please guide me because I found that PTE is more easier for me in IELTS reading is very much big hurdle for me. I Shall be very thankful to you.

    1. helow, sahil as i applied my visa online for canada. it’s been 15 days and still no response from IRCC india . i would suggest you to go for IELTS

Sir i got 52 in pte and 74% in non med and 84% in 10th i also got centennial college offer letter in computer system technician and i submitted my file in embassy at 19 april for sep intake still i am waiting for visa i am worried about will embassy grant my visa on pte ???   6. I have got 72.60 percentage in medical stream in 12th. And 51 overall in pte in writing 58, listning 56, reading 48 and speaking 44 . Pls tell me i m eligible for canada or not. If yes tell me college.
